How to give oral meds to a screaming toddler?

Two year old is on Zyrtec for allergies. It has helped SO much but now she’s refusing to take it. Had it in yogurt for a while but now she won’t eat it anymore. Then I told her she had to take it from the syringe and she could have a cookie. That worked for five days. Today the tears were profuse and it ended up mostly all over me, her, and the floor. No amount of bribery, trickery, or time out would make her take it. 
Anyone have any other pearls of wisdom I haven’t thought of?

This is gonna suck but hold her tight open her mouth push some of it in her mouth closer to her throat and then make her swallow it.. sounds mean i know but my oldest is on 11 different meds daily and the nurses have had to do it with her at times when she would fight them. Not fun i know but of it helps her then sometimes got to be the bad person. Dont squirt it all down at once or skme will come back up

Can you hide it in a smoothie? Or some juice?

Don't tell her she's taking it. If you're sticking it in a drink or soft food, just give it to her normally like you would anything else she would eat or drink, and provide some kind of distraction as she has it like the TV or something. Maybe have the same as her as well, like juice or yogurt or whatever you manage to put the medication in.

Can you distract her by putting on a movie or show she likes? I’ve told my toddler she can watch Peppa pig or frozen while we put on antibiotic ointment for a rash, or put it on while she’s watching it.

I babysat a kiddo who refused to take any medicine. His dad was about to throw the whole kid away lol. I had dad hold him down and keep his mouth open. I put the syringe near the back of throat and blew in his face hard and fast at the same time I gave the meds. He hated it but it did the trick.  My doctor taught me that. She says she uses it as a last resort. After that the little one started taking the meds on his own because I told him I was going to blow on him if he didn’t.

Get I empty juice box cut out one side put in medicine cup inside the juice box and stick the straw in but make sire to keep the open side toward you so she thinks she is drinking a juice box
