FTM twin c-section (graphic)

Mo

Birth: I

had a very healthy twin (di/di) pregnancy (boy/girl). My Dr waited until 38+1 to induce because I was doing so well. I arrive at the hospital this past Friday with my husband, mother and MIL. I was a nervous wreck for the surgery but it actually wasn’t bad. When I was prepped in the OR my husband came in smiling at me and squeezed my hand the whole time. As they started opening up I could here everyone chatting and having conversations like it was just another day. Then my Dr looks over the curtain and asks if I’m ready to meet my babies. Next thing I knew I heard my daughter start crying, I immediately burst into tears. I got a quick peep and the. The nurses began to clean her, and when I heard the Dr saying hurry, hurry before it breaks! I asked what was going on, and it turned out my son was born still IN his sac! It’s a very rare occurrence and the Dr wanted pictures! Lol a few second later they broke his sac and I heard my son’s first quiet cries. I’ll never forget that sweet moment with my husband and I anxious to meet the babies. The nurses brought the babies over and took pictures and it was a just an amazing moment. Babies weighed 7lbs 15oz and 6lbs 13oz!!

Recover: The recovering part is still happening, I’m on day 3 and taking Percocet. Unfortunately, the hospital delayed in getting my out of bed several hours after surgery. I hadn’t got out of bed until over 24 hours my surgery. When they started to help me out I almost began screaming. I have a high pain tolerance but that was the most extreme pain I have ever felt in my life. I was hysterically crying, and the nurse and techs just kept telling me how sorry they were and encouraging me. My husband, mom, and MIL were all crying and very upset because of the amount of pain I was in. I’m not exaggerating at all. I do not ever recommend a c-section to anyone if you can help it. I know everyone has different experiences and pain levels but you never know how yours will go. I’m sure if I had gotten up sooner it would have been easier. Just be careful ladies. Day 3, I can walk very, slowly and the pain is bearable.
