Migraines, any relief?

Do any of you suffer from migraines? I've had them all my life. Didn't have any with my first pregnancy 10 years ago but am suffering from one every other week now. I'm 9 wks and my OB gave me Tylenol with hydrocodone. It really just knocks me out so when I wake up the pain is still there. Anyone have any recommendations for relief?

I had a killer one yesterday!! I placed an ice pack on the back of my neck and a cold rag on my forehead!! I took Tylenol extra strength and slept in a dark room for as long as possible!!! I know your pain I suffer from them they are disabling !!! I'm so sorry I'm sure I will have another one very soon!!! I wanted to cry it hurt so bad but I knew if I did it would be that much worse... Make sure your staying hydrated too sometimes you can get them due to dehydration when Prego...every time you vomit drink fluid even if you throw it up drink again

I am prescribed Maxalt but I don't think I can take it while pregnant.

Magnesium has been shown to help, so calm drink that had magnesium and calcium help. I usually get relief from raw coconut water since its hydrating and provides essential vitamins. Use  Ice Packard well. Feel better. 😘

If you put your hands and feet into hot water at the same time it will help with your migraine. It rushes the blood to your hands and feet and eases the pain of the migraine. Also try laying down with an ice pack on the spot on your head that hurts the most. I also suffer from migraines and these methods seem to help since I cannot take my meds. Hopefully this helps you too!

I haven't had a migraine in a long time,  will yesterday and today I've had one bad. Tylenol only helps a lil bit.

A home remedy try using a slice patatoe and a bandana place them on your forehead and to keep the in place with the bandana when the potatoes turn black your head migraine should be gone

I have had them all my life as well and really if u don't wanna take anything cold cloth to the eyes and forehead and a very dark room and sleep it helps me everytime I also hear grape juice works

I use essential oils.  Also, stay hydrated.  Sometimes when I drink a big Gatorade very quickly it will give some relief. Helps with electrolytes.

I get them too, my OB gave me fioricet, however I am reluctant to use it due to it being a cat C drug. I ordered some essential oils that are supposed to help with headache relief... Also today I had a migraine coming on and the pharmacist I work with had me take some Tylenol and drink a strong cup of coffee. Hope this helps. Supposedly 90% of migraine sufferers will improve after the first trimester. Good luck to you!

Excedrin mild headache or Excedrin tension headache work wonders!!! It is just Tylenol and caffeine so safe during pregnancy.  My neurologist had approved.  It worked better than some of the prescription migraine meds I have taken.
