Pumping - 3-5 minutes

Hi All

I had a question about pumping time. I aim to pump 10 minutes but these days I get 3-4 ounces from each breast in 3-5 minutes. I usually wait a minute or 2 more after the flow has stopped but my question is that is this enough? I have heard we need to do minimum 20 minutes but since I am pumping more than what my baby drinks is this okay for now?

Of course! Pump what you need! You are just a fast producer. I am too- I can pump a full bottle from one side in under 7 minutes.

I only pump for 10 minutes. I’m finally cutting down to only getting like 15 oz from each pumping session I already have 2 chest freezers almost full
