My bf of 5 years and I were arguing and got into it, I left the house . He sends me a picture of the ring he bought me and said “wasted my money” , would you lady’s be upset??? I feel like it takes away from the special moment of the proposal

I accidentally saw the ring before the proposal I felt bad but in my defense he picked a shitty hiding spot lmao. The proposal was not ruined at all it was still perfect. 
In your case I would be extremely upset. He is using purchasing a engagement ring against you. He is taking something that is supposed to be a special romantic moment and turning it into a fight and something ugly. What’s wrong with him is this normal for him? Are you sure he is even the right guy to marry?
