Tips on how to get a breast fed baby to bottle feed
Okay so I work at a daycare, we just got a 6 week old baby who is breast fed and mom says he's never drank out of a bottle. So for the first time in his life he got to try out a bottle. He barely takes it! He acts like the bottle nipple gags him. He sucks on the end of the nipple and he can taste the milk so he sucks the whole nipple in his mouth and then gets so angry.
He's been in daycare for 2 days and it's a struggle to get food in his belly.
Any tips for us? Is there a certain nipple type for a bottle that I should suggest to his mother so he can eat better? Or should we just work with him like we are doing and get him used to the nipple. He's using a doctor Browns bottle.
