Ttc questions

Okay so I know body and i know I'm super irregular and I have a doctors appointment next month on the 6th (soonest they could get me in) and I'm just trying to get more insight on how you really conceive a baby. And no I dont mean the birds and the bees talk and all the basics I've known since I was 10. I'm asking for more details like if i start ttc when I'm ovulating and my period is 11 days after my last ovulation day can i still get my period? Or will I miss it the following month? I'm clueless and I dont need negativity as I am so ready to bring a baby into this world! I just want/need more insight on what I'm doing and any tips will be helpful! Thanks in advance
