What does EWCM mean?

Does it mean you are ovulating or just that ovulation is coming and you’re in your fertile window? I’m newly TTC and just wondering!

It means your body is preparing to ovulate so have sex when your see it because sperm stays alive inside you in it!

Technically means estrogen is elevated.
Typically estrogen will rise before the LH surge and stay elevated through the fertile window.

That being said you can get elevations in estrogen during your cycle when you aren't fertile. Sometimes your body will "gear up" to ovulation and do the whole estrogen surge and LH rise but then fail to actually ovulate. Typically in those cases your body will give it another go in a week or two. You can also get what is referred to as a "secondary estrogen surge" during the luteal phase. This is theorized to be the cause of the BBT dip some people see around 7DPO.
Of course these aren't the only times or reasons you could possibly see EWCM.

For me it means that i am ovulating.. it is a sign for me...which is tru coz my opk is positive as well :) EWCM mean Egg White Cervical Mucus
