Am I alone?

My 4 week old still isn’t sleeping at night. People complain about waking every 2 hours to feed their baby and I’m like I WISH I got 2 hours! I’ll lay her in her bassinet (dry, full, burped, and swaddled) and I don’t even get a full hour before she’s awake again. I pick her up, and then she is quiet and falls back to sleep. She won’t take a pacifier so she uses me to soothe herself to sleep. She’s exclusively breastfed. I’m exhausted. Anyone else up and down all night still?

Yep. My lo was up from 10pm to 5am. She would fall asleep on me I’d lay her down and she’d be up within 10 minutes. This is the 3rd day in a row she’s done it. Yesterday my husband even tried talking her for a ride in the car, she fell asleep, he laid her down when he got back and boom she was up. 😩

If you feel comfortable, I have one of these & it helps when my girl won’t sleep alone in the bassinet. She is funny, sometimes she does great in it, other times she just wants to be close to mom. This works great for us & she has the comfort of being close without us worrying about rolling on her, the sides are hard & it has breathable mesh. My other suggestions would be to play white noise. If you don’t have a white noise machine, Spotify has great playlists for babies (or even YouTube!) You can also try laying her on a shirt that you’ve been wearing all day in the bassinet that way she smells your event & that may soothe her as well!

My son was a fantastic sleeper until last week... he’ll be 6 weeks on Thursday. I don’t know what happened lol but now he’s behaving the same way as you mentioned! He’s only getting one good nap in the middle of the day and one around 9pm. The time in between is filled with him fighting sleep or us getting him to sleep then waking up after 4 minutes. Since we can’t sleep train yet, I bought a baby carrier so I can at least have my arms back to get a few things done and he has slept in there twice so far. If you have someone around I strongly suggest having them take over for 2 hours while you sleep with earplugs in lol. My husband and I were trying to do it together at the same time but we quickly realized that neither of we’re getting sleep so we just divide and conquer now 😂 good luck!!

Yeah my babe is up every 1.5 to 2 hours but then it takes an hour to feed and get her down so we feel like we usually get like 30 minutes to an hour of "me" time before we have to start the cycle again

My doctor suggested feeding every two hours in the day time from the start of the last feed.  It’s a lot for sure but he’s sleeping so much better now at 3 weeks. He’s full by the time it is night.  I have to wake him up in the day but he is saving his longer sleeps for night.  I’m at least getting 3.5 to 4 hour stretch at night plus another one or two 2-3  hour stretches after that.  
We also make sure to only put him in the bassinet when he is out cold after his last feed around 10 pm. If he’s not fully asleep he will start grunting and waking up when he’s set down.   
He did 9 hours the other night with two 40 minute wake ups to eat and be changed.  We keep everything very dark and I don’t make much noise or turn lights on while feeding at night.  I use the halo swaddle because he is able to break out of blanket swaddles and that wakes him up.  We also keep a fan going for white noise.  
We still definitely have some nights that aren’t great due to gas or just him
Not settling but it’s getting better.  It’s definitely hard!   Good luck!

My son is like this too, we cosleep to get the extra zzzs and are working on slowly getting him into the bassinet. When he is in the bassinet (first stretch of the night is the most successful) we use the Merlin magic sleep suit, that gets it's a bit more.

Try different pacifiers. I had this issue and finally found one she would take so she did not need nursing to fall asleep. Sleep at night has been better (2-3 hrs for the most part)
