GBS swab...what does it feel like?

Just curious🤷🏼‍♀️ I get my GBS swab test done this Thursday. It’s my first pregnancy so I’m unsure what to expect; if it hurts, if it’s just uncomfortable, or if I’ll barely notice it had been done.

I had to get undressed from the waist down, and my OB just swabbed straight down from the outside. It wasnt internal or anything, so it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be

Had mine today, it’s not bad at all! If anything just awkward lol it took like two seconds

I swabbed myself for both pregnancy’s, 2 different doctors. They gave me the swab, told me what to do and I did it

It’s like a Pap smear light with a quick surprise when they swipe your butt 🤣 it’s over quick, nothing to worry about at all and absolutely doesn’t hurt.

Mine was a swab of the vaginal area. The quick swab in my bum was a surprise 😂 I didn’t know that was happening. It doesn’t hurt or anything

Mine swabbed up to the cervix and booty, took me by surprise a bit but it was more “oh that’s a weird feeling” than a painful sensation

Depends on your doctors office. Some will internally swab by both the cervix and inside your rectum. Others only swab around the vaginal opening and anus.

Mine said it’s just a swab from my vagina to rectal area.  Doesn’t sound bad
