I like both.  Crib for the baby's room and pack and play for my bedroom.  I like to have my baby near me for the first few months and later transition her to her crib later.  The pack and play u can use later too for day naps and when the baby starts crawling

Both... Cribs are sturdy and your kid can't knock it over once they are 1 1/2 and super strong lol. A pack and play is portable but getting kinda small for my 1 year old

We have a co-sleeper crib for when she is tiny and then will transition to a pack n play when she's old enough to sleep on her own. We share a very small bedroom so we had to consider space more than anything. 
We weren't going to get the co-sleeper crib at all but have decided our bed wouldn't suit the three of us.

with my first she had a nursery set up with a crib and everything. we also had a pack n play and a bassinet. she slept in a bassinet next to my bed for the first month or two. then she slept with me till she was old enough to sleep in her own room. she never used the pack n play or crib. when she went into her own room she would freak out if we put her in the crib. she ended up in a big girl bed and that was that.

for the next one I am getting a rockaroo so baby will sleep in that until I feel comfortable co-sleeping. then we will co-sleep till baby is old enough to sleep on their own.

I plan on getting a packnplay with a napper and changer for the newborn weeks and then putting him in the crib once he's ready. We can use the packnplay as a portable crib too for in the future so it'd be nice to have.

Arm's reach co-sleeper (small bassinet by bed) is best. I used PacknPlay, but when baby got too big for the high level, I just brought baby into bed with me (at about 9 months), since she would wake up if I tried to lower her down to the bottom level.
