So I'm 37w 2d and I went to my weekly check-up. I've had pretty smooth sailing this whole pregnancy. However, my BP decided to spike for this one. Last week it was 122/82 and this week it was140/90!! Both are high considering all the rest of my readings have been 100/70 and in that range. So they made me lay on my left side and took it again in a few minutes. No change. Doctor came in decided to check my cervix bc it made him nervous. No dilation at all!! So he had me get a sonogram to check the fluid and to ensure she's face down. Yep all good there. Then I had to do a 20 minute stress test to make sure the baby's heart rate didn't drop with movement. And nope her heart is good and strong around 147bpm. They did a blood draw to check my liver and blood count. And now I have a pee jug I have to use for 24hrs too. Tomorrow morning we're gonna go over all the results and check my BP again. And from what he made it sound like he'd prefer to give me a c-section bc he can't really induce me with a closed cervix since I'm a VBAC. I'm scared. I had a c-section with my 1st and it was so horrible for me!! I had so much pain and couldn't do anything for so long. I never wanted to go through that again!! And got lucky with 2 more natural births. But... I guess if this is the only way to make sure my little girl is safe then I guess I gotta bite the bullet and deal with it. Thank God I am full term and don't have to stress about her not being ready on top of it all!! I just pray that everything else goes good and this is the only problem we face. On the bright side I might get to meet my little girl tomorrow.
