This may be kind of long but I have to share it and get it off my chest. My 2nd pregnancy was so easy in the beginning. No sickness, no pains, but I ate absolutely everything in sight. Lol. Then it wasn’t easy at all. I was 34-35 weeks when I started having stomach pains. I thought it was gas pain but I went to L&D on a Saturday night and got sent home with a prescription for sleeping pills and told I had heart burn....a couple days later I’m still in agony and so I go to the ER and they drew blood and said my white blood cell count was up and I got admitted in labor and delivery. It took forever for them to figure out was wrong with me, when they took me back for ultrasounds I felt this blinding pain like my stomach was being ripped apart. My appendix had burst. They put me under and took it out of course but the infection was so bad I had to wear a drain. A few days later I started having contractions. I wasn’t dilating so they sent me home anyway. The day after I was released I went back because the contractions were so strong and painful and was dilated to a 5.

I had a c section....which I chose to do. I was in panic mode and just wanted her out ASAP. I should have delivered vaginally. About a day or two after being released I felt like I couldn’t breathe and was throwing up went to ER they said I was fine.

Then I started having horrible headaches. L&D tells me to come back in cause it might have something to do with the spinal. Well it didn’t...I had postpartum preeclampsia. I don’t remember what my blood pressure was I just remember being in and out of the hospital for a month straight, rude nurses, and being absolutely terrified. I was so angry at the very first doctor I had seen because she didn’t bother doing blood test. I never went through any of this when I was pregnant with my son. I’m so happy my baby girl was healthy and perfect.

Sorry it’s so long it’s just something I think about every single day. It all happened in February
