Above 171 for sure, because I pay $150 a week for groceries and that's just getting what we need, and it's doesn't last long... So someone who is needing/able to get help, they would need more than the 171 poll, definitely above. 
Like that's if they have no other way to pitch any other money in at all, many factors go into play....but I mean, food is expensive, and if we're talking poverty, then definitely more.

We are $190 NZD per week for a family of three (2 adults, 1 child), so that’s $122 USD a week, though groceries are a bit pricey here.

There's so many different scenarios where the amount could be different. Where are they living? How many people? I'd say over 171 though to feed a whole family where we we live in colorado.

Rent and food comes first. One out of two adults should have a job. Kids should eat first. So w.e. the gov decided is enough. If you cant make it on that someone is pigging out.

Depends on their income. Enough to provide about 1/4 of their overall need. It should be a supplement, not their only source of food.

It probably depends on where you live and how many people you’re feeding. I spend no more than $250/mo on groceries...sometimes half that...and we eat really well. I meal prep and plan way ahead. Have a freezer stockpile at any one time. Buy a ton of produce and meat etc. But paying Midwest prices.
