Sudden tummy sleeper

Our little guy, a week shy of three months, has been sleeping on his side for at least three weeks now. During play time, for the last few weeks, he constantly rolls from his back to tummy and then freaks out, because he has not figured out how to roll tummy to back. Well, tonight he’s rolling to his tummy in his crib and sleeping. Is this okay if he can’t turn back over by himself? I made the huge mistake of googling. I might never sleep again 🙈😫. We’ve increased daily tummy time each day. I wish he’d just figure out the tummy to back. I feel so helpless.
