When to have another baby after c-section?

My daughter who was born through C-section is four months old. We tried a long time to have her and we want more children. I would love for my kids to be close in age but I don’t want to overdo it with having another section too early. So my question is for those of you who have had C-sections and have children close in age, how old was your first baby when you got pregnant with your second?

My doctor said wait 18 months after c-section to get pregnant again.

Mine are 7 years apart but I’m definitely not telling you to wait that long lol BUT I’d definitely wait at LEAST one whole year before even trying. To give it plenty of time to heal.

My son is 6 month old born my emergency c-section and I'm 9 weeks pregnant with second (wasn't planned that way but life happens and I'm excited for them to be so close in age). I'm going to take the advice from my doctors and midwives. I really want to try for a VBAC but won't know if this is possible until my first midwife appointment next week. Fingers crossed. 💙💜

My children are 11 months apart. My daughter was born June 20th 2013 and my son was born May 28th 2014. Both c section.

Also with my second child I had a VBAC. My vaginal birth was so much better than my csection.
