Helix piercing

I got my helix piercing about 6 months ago

Its still kind of tender to put earrings it like hoop earring are hard. But studs are easier to get in. I notice it doesn’t always go threw the helix hole and it pokes around inside and then I take it out and it bleeds. Right now I have a stud in and have been putting warm salt water on it

Any tips?

Is this normal? Thanks
