I’ve just lost my 4 year old cocker spaniel, Max, after a short illness and being rushed in for emergency surgery. He was everything to us and the house is so empty. He was my shadow and the thought of max not being here when I get home or getting me up in the morning is the worst pain I’ve felt!

I’m 8 wks almost 9, so am due in March. Would I be crazy to get a puppy now? I know how much hard work it is just to have a puppy let alone being pregnant and then having a baby too...

I always imagined us as a family being me, my OH, Max and our baby. Now that’s taken away from me, but I am very much a dog person so can’t imagine us never having a dog again. Nothing will replace Max but it might fill this gaping hole that’s been left.
