Ways to tell my dad he’ll be a grandpa
So me and my father have an interesting relationship. We don’t really take much seriously. We turn everything into a joke
For example: when i was younger he had a stroke and had to relearn how to use the left side of his body. So when i went to visit him in the hospital i pretended to drag my left side in (as if it didn’t work). The nurses were beyond disturbed and began to try and chew me out. But my dad started to laugh so hard. My fiancee said it was the hardest she heard him laugh while visiting him. I then decided to skip in the room and dance every time i saw him and sang “are you jealoussss”
So though this may disturb some it’s a look into how him and i choose to cope with things.
He doesn’t really like super sweet gestures.
So a card or a cup saying you’re a grandpa isn’t his tea.
I almost thought about not telling him till when i have the kid (my dd is March 27) and calling him on April fools day to tell him he’s a grandpa... then say “no seriously look” and show him the kid.... buuuut that one may be tooo far lol.
Anyways just looking for any input sorry for the long story
