My husband works and I'm currently on maternity leave.

My husband goes to the gym three times a week for an hour at a time.

He goes to the pub with friends usually once or twice a week for an hour or two at a time.

If ever he needs to go to the shop he stops in to see his parents on the way, usually an hour at a time and usually two or three times a week.

All the while I stay at home with baby, which I love, but today baby has a low grade fever and is fussy after her 3rd lot of shots yesterday. We also have a grocery delivery coming at 7pm which I'd struggle to get sorted because baby just wants to be held and cuddled because she doesn't feel well. I haven't even been able to go to the bathroom for about 4hrs 😖

Because of this I asked my husband to stay home from the gym tonight, (he was out getting his hair cut at the time and I was on the phone to him).

He hung up on me, came home in a foul mood and when I asked him what was wrong he said he's sick of having to be at home where he has to constantly do jobs/chores/tidy and doesn't understand why he can't do "what he wants to do."

To be fair to him he has always done most of the housework as I have a disability that makes it difficult for me to do any, although I do as much as I can whenever I can.

Was I being unreasonable to ask him to come home instead of going to the gym? I wish I'd just left it now because it would've been better than him being home in such a bad mood. 🤦🏻‍♀️
