Short cervix = early arrival?

Question

Anyone with a short cervix have an early arrival as a result? 
Mine went from 2.4 cm at 32 weeks to 2.7 at 34. Happy it’s growing (been taking it easy), but my doctor says he thinks baby will still come early. He’d like to see it around 4 cm. 
Of course predicting delivery is hard, but trying to prepare myself Incase this little one does make an early arrival.

Following! My cervix also measured shorter (2.7cm) at 32 weeks! My OB also said it was soft. I’ve had so many contractions (will be 35 weeks tomorrow) so curious about if baby will come early!

It doesn't really mean much about when you will go into labor. The length of your cervix is what most OBs refer to as effacement. You can be 90% effaced (super short cervix >1cm) and not go into labor for weeks. Cervix length is really only a preterm labor indicator if you have a very short cervix prior to third trimester. After that, cervix shortening is normal and to be expected.
