Breast milk allergy??

Question

Is there such thing as baby not tolerating your breast milk well?? I BF but also give formula, my son is 3 weeks old and for the past almost 2weeks he has been very gassy and seems like he’s having digestion issues. Especially at night he just is uncomfortable and takes a while to settle after feedings.

My first instinct would be that it’s the formula that’s doing that to him, not the breast milk

It’d be the formula or something you’re eating, not an allergy to breastmilk. Cow’s milk is a big culprit in both formula and diet.

It's possible but this type of behaviour is pretty normal in general. I would worry if he had mucus or blood in his stools and was vomiting after feeds.

If I had to guess, I’d say it was the formula. Could you cut back on it for a few days and see if he improves?
