Any one have kids/babies that have breath holding spells?

Taking my son to the doctor's over it tomorrow I was hoping he'd grow out of it but just seems to be getting worse his lips started going blue! Scariest thing 😭 anyone experience this ? Did u find a cause ? Solution ?

My boy hasn’t done that. However, I’ve heard when they do that you blow in their face and they’ll stop holding their breath.

My son use to do that when he got hurt. He'd fall and hit his head and cry so hard he held his breath. He would make himself pass out. He's done it several times. I now have to tell him to breathe. The only way I can get him to breathe is to stick my finger down his throat. I've tried blowing in her face. Patting his back. Loving on him. Everything. Gagging him is the only thing that makes him breath. It was terrible. He'd just cry and two seconds later drop. It was so scary.

It is scary and different kids have different reasons for doing it. When tour kid does it though, blow in their face. It stimulates a reflex to take a breath

Mine does. Started it around 8-10 months. He only does it when he’s over tired and he hurts himself or gets really upset. We’ve done a better job of making sure his naps stay on a more consistent schedule and it helps. 
His ped isnt concerned, its another form of a temper tantrum in most kids, but it could also be caused by low iron levels so we’re getting blood work done at his 2y appointment to make sure its not related to his iron levels.

My two sons do it when they mad and cry, and my nephew does too he has passed out on me before, now is that what little one doing or is it when he asleep? Because thats two totally different things.
