How often do you apply anti-rash ointment on baby?

I only apply it when my son has a rash, or looks like he is starting to get a rash. He doesn’t get rashes very often, so I find it unnecessary to always apply it.

I use a barrier cream every change and a zinc oxide cream if its red.

We do every diaper change but my daughter is very prone to rashes. She has had them off and an her whole life.

I don't use it routinely and he hasn't gotten a rash yet. I change his diaper a lot because he pees a lot, but I only really apply cream if I think its starting to get red or if he potentially could be in a wet diaper for a longer period than usual (ex when we took a vacation to the beach, for the 2 hour car ride).

I apply a small amount of Boudreaux’s Butt Paste after every poopie diaper. He is nearly 3, we’ve done that since he was born. My sister, on the other hand, only applies cream when her child has a rash.  I prefer prevention.
