Am I wrong for making my immediate family get flu shots before they touch my newborn child due in February?
So I am due in February and I work in a hospital so I know all about Flu, whooping cough, RSV, etc. I have asked my husbands and my immediate family members to get flu shots to protect our child who is being born in the middle of flu season. Everyone has agreed however my SIL is arguing with me telling me I’m freaking out over nothing. And she’s never had a flu shot and says she doesn’t need one. I told her we are not budging and you will not see our child. I feel like I am the parent and I am allowed to make sure everyone who comes in contact with my child has their shot. I just want to protect my baby.
