Best way to darken a nursery?

Everything I have found even if it says 'blackout' still filters light through. So frustrating! Any good room darkening product recommendations or tips would be amazing TIA 😊

I have pull down blackout shades with black out curtains! But if you're wanting literally not a shred of light to come through youll have to put foil on the windows lol

We use blackout paper blinds underneath regular blinds lol it works perfectly as only about $10 for the one window in her room.

I have gro blinds, amazing and actually block out the light! Can also take them with you if you stay elsewhere anytime

They made actual blackout stuff you stick on the window that is about as close as you can get to perfect. I got mine on amazon. It’s just a film that you put over. As long you cut it to fit it works great, and you just peel it off when you don’t need it anymore and it won’t mess up your window.

I use room darkening shades for my sons room ... not totally black, but good enough.
some food for thought: my mother always had black out rooms for my brother and I and we literally cannot sleep anywhere there is light. If the run is up, so am I. I try the sleep masks but I pull them off in my sleep.  I slept great at home, but anytime We went away or I had a sleep over, I was awake with the sun.
I’m still super light sensitive, but now having a baby and a job and needing to workout, it’s not often I’m still in bed when the sun is coming up.
