Having to start my new pack a day late

I’ve been on the combination pill for 3 years. I have always been notified at least a month in advance that my script is running out, but this time I went to pick them up today so I could start my new pack tonight and they told me I was out of refills. I tried calling my gyne but she already left. Will this mess with the effectiveness, I’m getting married in 3 days!!
