Does anyone else have a violent chihuahua?

Annabelle is the SWEETEST little chihuahua ever! Everyone who meets her is just amazed by her. She doesn't bark a lot like chihuahuas tend to, she definitely doesn't bite, and she will let anyone pet her (she doesn't like it but she'll suffer and shake through it). I love her!!

Sounds like your dog may need to be put in some training classes. That's not healthy behavior

This breed tends to be VERY territorial and might become a bit aggressive when trying to protect their territory. They also tend to be very protective of their primary owner and arent too great with kids. If the behavior is excessive, maybe looking into some training techniques will help. There's a lot resources online that you can find if you cant take him to a professional. Just remember, consistency is key! Good luck!

My in-laws' chichi is skittish. Little nippy, not bad. Doesn't like children, growls and backs away. Gentle but firm corrections are important.
If you're getting bit that much, professional help may be necessary.

I have a Chihuahua her name is bella and she does get agressive torwards other people but I babysit and shes never aggresive to the baby. When someone spooks her or provokes her she gets agressive.  I have heard storys of them being aggressive.

My mil has a chihuahua cross and she's the most violent thing I've ever met. She's constantly biting my dog and everyone else. Never leaving my baby there unsupervised

It's more of a snap than a bite... But his teeth are so little they're sharp as hell lol! I'm taking him to a training consultation tomorrow so we will see how that goes... lol asshole- I love him too much haha

Get a cheap spray bottle at Walmart or dollar tree. When he bites you, spray him and tell him "No!" and he should learn fairly quickly. Good luck!

Growing up I have always had at least one dog. Now that I'm in my own home and married we have two. I have a yorkie but all the rest have been large breed, but if I ever had a dog that would bite agressively and nothing would curb the behavior I wouldn't keep the animal. For me, it's not worth having the risk that my dog would seriously hurt someone that was at my house.
