WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE...?

IUD owners, what’s the insertion like?!?!?
I’m getting an IUD in on the 30th. Never had a baby or been pregnant- so I’m expecting it to be a BITCH. 
I have my nipples pierced, more than a number of tattoos, and I get regular Brazilian waxed. But I’m a HUGE baby. Husband hit my cervix during sex once and I went down like a shot deer. So I’m petrified of getting the wombo-combo of my VERY FIRST pap and IUD all in one day. 
Yes- I’m set on the IUD. Had the nexplanon and hated it, can’t take a pill to save my life, and I’d accidentally flush the NuvaRing. IUD it is. 
They’re giving me the cervical softener and I’m taking enough ibuprofen to kill a small animal. But I need preparation. HONEST preparation.

The first one I got after birth so I didn't feel anything at all. The second time I got was almost 2 years postpartum. The most uncomfortable part for me was when they stuck the clamp in to keep the cervix open. The actual insertion of the IUD doesn't really hurt. There is a pinch at one point, can't remember if that was the cervix softener or what🤔. The whole thing is done in about 5 minutes. I cramped for a few hours afterwards.

I only gotten one after birth and it was nothing to me. My friends who got it before having a baby both described it as intense pain that made them buckle over and sweat. So idk.

I had my first IUD put in a few months ago and I'm tough as needles when it comes to pain. But holy geeze did I have some major cramping after it was placed. Make sure you have a heating pad and a full bottle of ibuprofen!

If I’m being honest getting mine in felt like someone was trying to shove a dull butter knife through my uterus. It hurt a lot. The nurse had to hold my hand and tell me to breathe. Getting it out was a breeze. But after it getting settled and my body getting used to it I loved it. It was so worth it and it’s the birth control I’m getting after my son is born.

I've had 2 put in. The first hurt but it wasn't terrible, removing it hurt more but even still wasn't bad. The second I didnt even feel them put it in but it ended up falling out on its own.

I had two of them. One got mislodged and the other gave my a uterine infection. Good luck with yours. Btw it hurts like a bitch

I mean i can tell you it does NOT feel as bad as having a baby. 😂😂  They have to open your cervix, which feelings like a pinch with pressure. Then after that you don't feel much. All done with a vaginal exam as well.
