Why is my period late on birth control

Question

I’ve been taking birth control pills since November, but my period always comes about 2 days after I stop taking them. Why is it always late? My sister in law’s periods would start immediately on the first day of the placebo pill.

I start my period on the 4/5th placebo pill. As long as I get my period I don't mind when it comes.

That’s not late for your body then. I take my last pill Saturday and get my period Tuesday/Wednesday. It’s been that way for me for years. It’s withdrawal bleeding so sometimes your body needs a few days to actually notice.

Mine does the same thing. It always comes 2-3 days after I start taking the placebo pills. I wouldn't think too much of it as long as your period comes on time
