I got a 10 month old cat for my birthday on Sunday and she got comfortable with my family and stuff. Now she will not get off my bed or let me close the door for my room. She will meow her head off and I haven’t been sleeping since she got here. I think she has abandonment issues because her last owner just left her with a neighbor.

I tried giving her a pillow, she’ll only stay on it for a minute then jump on my bed. I gave her a box she just plays in it and jumps out.

At this point I leave my door open a bit so she can eat and use the litter box. I’ve gotten a little more sleep but when I wake up in the middle of the night for bathroom she thinks it play time and wants attention. Then she’ll start meowing and bumping her body on me to pet her.
