So my bf and I have been together for almost 5yrs (anniversary is next month!) and I’ve always wanted a promise ring... things have changed a lot recently. We graduated high school and moved into a really nice house together and we still have a really good spark after all these years and we definitely plan on getting married around the time that he tops out in his career which should be within the next 5 years and I should be done with college around the same time. In the past he said promise rings are kind of dumb since everyone he knows that’s had one have all broken up but I don’t look at it that way.. thats their relationship not ours so he shouldn’t be worried about it. Plus we’ve been together for so long and I want him to promise he has intentions of marrying me. I don’t think he realizes that’s the message behind it.. I don’t want to HAVE to ask for one, I rather him want to do it.. I’ve been dropping hints by sending him cute rings... wouldn’t this be a good time to get a promise ring? It’s been a while since I actually brought it up... idk I just need some input or opinions on promise rings
