Labor Confusion

This morning I had contractions that woke me up from my sleep. Just so happens I had a Drs appt scheduled for today so i started timing my contractions to show the Dr when I got there.

They were a bit irregular at first, being anywhere between 6-10 mins apart, but as I started getting up to get ready and got to the office they were a good 5 mins apart continuously.

So she comes in and checks my cervix and I'm still only 2 cm but my cervix is soft. I had no bloody show or water breaking, but I do have these frequent contractions... Possibly braxton hicks? But they are consistent so I'm confused now.

She says I'm not in labor but I'm heading in that direction. What do I look out for now???

Has this happened to anyone else?
