Is it gross to wear socks in a kitchen when you have toddlers that drop crumbs eeeeverywhere all over the floor?

I have a bet going with my husband. I think it’s totally gross because in order to have the floors actually clean, I need to vacuum and mop them probably close to 4x per day. And I usually only do it once because I’m 38 weeks pregnant and it’s too hard to keep up with so I do it after dinner, the last meal. So he’s wearing his socks in the mess and they’re soaking it all up and then he wears them the rest of the day. His argument is that it’s more gross if he’s barefoot because it’s on his skin then. But I’m like no just wipe your feet off after and don’t create more laundry for me/wear sloppy socks the rest of the day
