Why can’t you take tests apart?

I keep seeing people say that the tests are invalid after taken apart but that doesn’t make sense... 
What makes them invalid?

Answer

I know if it’s a digital test it’s because they always have 2 lines even if you’re not pregnant. I never understood it for normal tests though
