How soon should you have a baby shower before you have the baby?

Ive never had a baby before and I've only ever gone to 1 baby shower , moms what do you think ?

I really want to avoid the holidays but at the same time I’m thinking after Thanksgiving so if anyone wants to buy anything on Black Friday/Cyber Monday they can.

I’m due Feb 5th so this time around I’m doing it early ( October ) bc I don’t want to put it to close to the holidays.

30- 34weeks seems to be the average time. I was 32 weeks at mine and honestly I was already so big and uncomfortable I just wanted to go home and nap 😂 I think early would be better and more enjoyable

Im doing mine mid October because January will be cutting it way to close and november and december everyone will be focused on holidays and out of town. At that point I'll be around 24 weeks

You still want some time to be able to get anything you need that you didn’t get at the shower.
