Last night my bf and me were arguing and I tried grabbing his wrist and he took my hand and pushed it so I punched myself in the face.. my lip was bleeding and the side of my face hurts. he said he didn’t mean to do that but I’m pissed about it and idk if I believe he didn’t mean to

Neither of you should be laying your hands on one another, ever. Period. Sounds like he reacted to you grabbing him and didnt intended to push your hand so far. He was wrong but so were you.

Don’t grab people if you don’t want them to react. I doubt he meant to cause that to happen but you know him better than we do. I don’t understand why women think it’s OK for them to get physical with a dude but then get all bent out of shape when he defends himself. Come on now. Keep your hands to yourself and no one‘s hands end up in anyone else’s face… simple as that
I saw your reply to another comment saying that you were both drinking at the time. If this is how you guys behave when you drink then maybe you should cut back on that…

If you don’t believe that it was an accident don’t be with him. But I think it’s wrong to say that what he did was “messed up”, when it was really a reaction to a physical interaction that you started

If someone tried to grab me during a fight I would have reacted by pushing their hands away as well in self-defense. Don’t ever do that again. Should he have pushed back no, but you started with the physical escalation and are not a victim but the aggressor.

I didn’t grab his hand in a hard way demanding way. It was more of a comforting way because he was upset but he got mad and maybe took it the wrong way
