Breastfeeding Troubles
Our baby girl is now 6 days old. I have been planning to breastfeed my entire pregnancy but I don't think I was properly informed on exactly what to expect. My husband and I took a breastfeeding class, but we really should have done our own research and f/u.
This resulted in latching issues on both our parts, and she was not nursing as frequently as she should have which lead to frustration for both of us.
Thankfully, I have a close friend who is a lactation consultant who came over to help me. Baby girl has been nursing like a champ for the last two days and two nights. She is well on her way to be on a schedule. I'm so proud of her and myself for not giving up.
I encourage everyone who is having trouble to stick with it. Totally worth it.
