I’m currently using NuvaRing for my hellish periods but almost every time I put it in after my week off I have very bad irritation or I get an infection and my periods are still heavy and somewhat painful . At my annual appointment today I brought it up and my doc said to experiment with using it continuously (no week off) or think about switching to something else, specifically nexplanon. I’m doing my research but I wanted to see if anyone who’s used nexplanon has any strong opinions good or bad or if anyone has switched from NuvaRing to nexplanon and how it went :)
