My LO is nearly 15 months (next week) and still wakes twice usually for a night feed and because of bad habits and being tired she usually ends up in bed with me. It all started when she was about 8 months old and got ill and then was ill on and off for 3 months with sickness bugs, a chest infection, conjunctivitis etc. She ended up in bed with me (or both of us) and fed back to sleep despite sleeping through from 7 weeks it was like she suddenly couldn’t go back to sleep without me and feeding.

Fast forward and she’s now 15 months and we’ve got her back to settling by herself in her cot at night when she goes down but she wakes between 1/2 am and then sometimes by 3/4 and usually finally by 5/5.30 if she isn’t already in our bed to come in for cuddles and milk! If I refuse to feed her she gets really hysterical.

So tonight I moved the cot in our spare room and when she woke at 1 gave her cuddles and a small feed and then put her back down... within 20 minutes she was back awake and shouting at me. I got her out for cuddles and let her roam around the bed but kept repeating ‘all gone. No milky left’ when she kept pulling down my top. She got pretty hysterical. In the end she somehow managed to get her mouth around nipple but only suckled for maybe 60 seconds and then put her dummy back in. She’s then lay awake for 10 minutes and is now crying for milk again! I go back to work in 2 weeks... is there any way we can get this sorted in 2 weeks?! Exhausted mumma 😴
