Who should get the ring?
this is a true story about my aunt, she and her fiancé got engaged and paid for the rings together. The money came out of a joint account they both shared. (She was the main bread winner so most the money in the account was earned by her)
One day her diamond engagement ring went missing she always set it on her nightstand when she went to sleep but when she woke up it was gone. She assumed she knocked it off in her sleep and looked everywhere. She told her fiancé and they both spend the day looking all over the house. She was also worried since she has had a issue with sleep walking that she might of moved it in her sleep.
No luck with finding the ring and she felt horrible that she lost it. Over the next few weeks her fiancé became distant and she assumed he was mad at her for losing the expensive engagement ring.
About a week later she kept hearing rumors that her fiancé was cheating on her with someone else who lived in the small town. She didn’t believe any of it and loved her fiancé they were also expecting their first child. A friend called and said she saw her fiancé with another women in his car and they stopped at a house and both went in. Her friend came and picked her up and they went to the house and his car was in the driveway. They knocked on the door and the women opened the door and then saw her and immediately try to slam the door shut. But she held the door open and yelled for her fiancé to come out. Then she noticed this women was wearing her engagement ring. She had no doubt it was hers and she demanded she give her the ring. The other women refused and said it’s hers. They started to wrestle and she did manage to get the ring off her finger but the neighbors called the police and they arrived and made her return the ring to this other women. Who has the right to keep the ring?
