Buying dresses a good idea?

I don’t want to waste money on a whole bunch of maternity clothes so I bought dresses I can wearing during and after pregnancy. Is this a good idea? I have no idea it’s my first baby 😢

I did this because I hate maternity clothes, I feel like they all make me look so old! (I mean seriously why is everything snitched at the sides, flowery, or stripy) I would suggest going 2 sizes up and looking for dresses that fit mid thigh or longer so they don’t get too short as baby grows. And a buying one jean jacket or cardigan that will go with all dresses just to complete the look

Are you planning to breastfeed? If so whatever you get for maternity make sure it is nursing friendly also or you'll need another wardrobe after you give birth. I made that mistake last time and if I have another baby I'm definitely picking my maternity clothes with breastfeeding in mind.

That’s what I do, I like wearing them with leggings while not pregnant too, so I don’t feel it’s a waste
