C section again?

I just had 2 mommas tell me that once you have one c section you have to have all your babies that way. Is this true?? I’m so upset! I just had my first baby and I wanted to have a normal birth. Makes me not even want another baby because of the pain

Not true. I have a c section in 2007 with my twins. Just had a v back with my son in june. It all depends on how you were cut.

VBAC is totally possible just depends on the reason you had to have the first csection, how well you healed and where your incision was. Talk to your OB. My doctor let me choose what I wanted to do the second time around. Even though I wanted to deliver naturally I knew it wouldn't be a good idea. I'm glad I chose repeat csection because the cord was knotted and wrapped around my daughters neck and my doctor said it was very thin and most likely would have ruptured during labor.

Depends on your incision. I had to have c-sections for all 3 babies because I had a T incision on my uterus and the vertical part was in the active muscle tissue. The risk of rupture is higher for women with a T incision and most OBs wouldn’t support a VBAC.
