My husband was hospitalized last week for mental health reasons. He already had that week off & provided his work with a work release stating by his doctor that he is fit to go back to work.
He worked last night & the night before. They issued him a badge to get in this morning so he wouldn’t have to be buzzed in.
HR just called about an hour ago & specifically asked him what he was diagnosed with & why he was hospitalized.
His work just called him & said they “wanted to move in a different direction” & that he would be reassigned.
They were perfectly fine in the direction they were headed this morning? Funny how it changed after HR called.
Isn’t there a law preventing HR asking an employee about their health?? We’re in TN.
