Bottle as a pacifer?

Jennifer

My LO has been eating constantly and when I say constantly, it’s slowing and literally constantly over several hours. In the past 3 hours she has slowly consumed about 4.5 ounces. She’ll get rapid movement and breathing and flair her lips, so I give her a bottle and she’ll slowly eat it, spitting it out occasionally, then doing the same movements and breathing asking for more. This happens for several hours. It’s to the point where I can’t do anything all day because I’m constantly feeding her. But one thing is that she’ll spit it out or kinda suck/chew on it without taking some in for an extended period of time. Could she be wanting a pacifier instead? This mostly happens during the day. During nighttime feedings, its right back to sleep. But during the day, she’ll wake up from her naps, be hungry, and with eat and go back to sleep or do this. I’ll get maybe an hour break between her wanting a bottle. Is this normal or is she using the bottle as a pacifier?

Or does this sound like cluster feeding? This has been going on for a couple weeks and is exhausting!
