Coming off the Pill and Cramps

Before starting the pill my cramps weren't that bad and would happen on day 2 of my period. While taking the pill I started getting cramps before during and for a couple days after my period. Now that I've come off the pill (this will be my first cycle off of it) I'm having killer cramps and I shouldn't have my period for a couple days. Could this be from the pill or should I be concerned about something else?
