Who else felt this way??

So today we found out we are having a boy. I felt so sad I wanted to cry 😭 I have 3 boys and 1 girl! My daughter is the second youngest. When we told the kids my daughter was so sad she ran and cried and eventually fell asleep. It made me even more sad.. I know when I see him I will fall in love and I feel crazy and selfish for even feeling this way!!! Ugh I just have mixed emotions. Also this will be our last baby.

In our gender reveal video you can see the pure disappointment on my face. The way I said “it’s a boy” didn’t sound happy at all! And then you hear my fiancé say “are you gonna go cry now”? Everyone went silent. Still slightly disappointed that it’s a boy.

I’m in the same boat yet not. Mine is a girl and I’m having a really hard time accepting it. I am grateful for this rainbow baby and I’m so glad she’s healthy and growing, but I really wanted a second boy.

I’m pregnant with my second and I’ve always wanted a girl. I didn’t have a great relationship with my mother so I wanted to have the family I never had. I found out 6 weeks ago this is a boy too and I can’t help but be sad either. I melt when I see little girls and the thought of never having my own depresses me. I know I will love my new boy and I’m hoping that when I feel him move more I can connect and get over my sadness. My husband originally said this would be our last but maybe I can talk him into a third. All I’m saying is I totally understand but we will live our babies all the same.

Same here i have a girl and my youngest boy ran and cry alot he wants boy to play with him and even he chooses boy name before we got to know its a girl and my oldest is girl and she's so happy so i got very sad for him but eventually he accept her and he is happy now ,dont worry kids have first hard emotions but will get better later ☺

I initially wanted a 2nd boy bc I feel I was meant to be a boy mom but when my husband said he hopes our 2nd and probably last would be a girl I shifted to wanting a girl. When we got pregnant all the theories pointed to girl and my pregnancy was so different than my first, so I was hopeful. Well we found out at 13 weeks at the NT scan that it was a boy. Tech said she was 95% sure. I was in so much denial that I was constantly reading up on if she could be wrong bc it was so early but that’s also when we found out with my 1st so I knew it was probably right. We confirmed weeks later (15 weeks 3 days) that it was indeed a boy. My situation is that the whole reason we were trying for number two was so that my son had a sibling. It wasn’t for us, it wasn’t our need to have another nor even a girl for that matter. So god gave us what my son needed, which obviously is a brother. I think most just want the one of each thing usually and if you don’t get that you feel like your letting go of the gender you’ll never have. 
But since you said you wanted a 2nd boy but got a girl maybe this will make you feel better. My brother and I are best friends. We were pretty much inseparable. He was my voice of reason in my hormonal and emotional teenage years. A boy and a girl pair can teach each other so much when growing up together. I know quit a bit about the man psyche thanks to him 😂 When we were kids I played dolls with my friends and cousin but built forts with my brother. I loved having a brother. Girls are usually more adaptive in socializing than boys. So, she’ll know how to make it work and he will love her.
