Today I was scheduled for my 20 week anatomy scan.. Well that scan turned to a 3 hour doctor visit.. The tech took a look at my cervix and noticed it was extremely short also noticed that baby is right on top of cervix.. Dr ordered progesterone vaginal suppositories that i need to take every night due to me being at high risl of premature labor .. My pharmacy called to tell me that my insurance will not cover my medication after a call to my insurance i was told that even with prior authorization that the medication will be declined.. So i contatced my pharmacy to see if i could pay out of pocket but that is out of the question due to the medicine being $650.. Dr said there is no other medicine they can prescribe me and it will most likely result in me having to stay in the hospital until its safe for me to deliver.. Has anybody gone through this?
