When did you's mother's start feeding your baby solid food?

6mos. I went with the most current recommendation.
I started with baby food offering one type for two days and switching between fruit and veggie. I only used baby food for maybe a month? I did some baby led weaning and mashed our meals and used a silicone feeder

4 months, she was starving. There is conflicting science regarding  allergies and early introduction but they arent sufficient yet

4 months based on my sons drs recommendations. He was underweight due to a medical condition. But he did great. They say to do the spoon test. If the baby accepts a spoon into their mouth they are ready. If they shove it away with their tongue they are not. Only give veggies until they have tried them all! Fruits curb their taste buds and make them prefer the sweets.

6 months as my pediatrician recommended. We went straight for table foods. We did Baby led weaning.

We did BLW with my second and third, and just gave them (suitable) real food when they were ready. 7 and 8 months respectively. My first was fed at 5.5 months with purées as recommended by his pediatrician. (He’s 10 now, and they didn’t have the same recommendations back then, or at least I was unaware of them.)

My doctor recommended 4 months because of issues my son was having. I held off until 5 months. But my pediatrician normally sticks to the 6 month recommendation if there isn’t a reason to start sooner. I would have waited until 6 months of my little one wasn’t having issues.

Purées and soft foods (mashed potatoes pudding etc) at 4 months then we started baby-led weaning at 6 months

8 months but she hated texture so I did homemade puréed foods until she was about 14 months and finally started eating real food 😂

6 months based on the recommendation of the AAP. I didn’t want to risk open gut by feeding her too early
