Is DayQuil/NyQuil safe?

I’m wondering if DayQuil and/or NyQuil is safe to take while breastfeeding? Or is that one or the medication that can make your milk supply lowered?

Answer

Anything with decongestants can temporarily lower your supply because they dry up bodily fluids. However, once the medication is out of your system (4 or 6 hours later), your supply should be fine. 
I remember looking into which medication I could take last time I had a cold while BF and I believe dayquil was the one I settled one.

I don’t think you are supposed to take that because it has decongestant medication, and any decongestant will lower your supply.
